Here are some belly shots I took for the sake of souvenirs. The first one was taken 2 days ago when I was 36 weeks and 5 days and the other one a few days earlier when I was 36 weeks & 2 days. Woooo check out my stretchmarks. *Sigh* Mommy Scars! My battle stripes. Anyways, I am exactly 37 weeks right now and considered Full-Term. I absolutely cannot wait for delivery day although I am quite nervous because I am going for a Normal Vaginal Delivery this time unlike with my first born which was an emergency C-section. I have been monitoring myself a lot lately looking out for labor signs but so far none of which I've felt seem to be real labor signs from what I've been reading on forums and the preggy app I have installed on my phone .. Honestly, I have no idea what the heck real labor contractions feel like cause I felt absolutely NOTHING with my first child. I was 19 at the time and I remember I was being induced at 41 weeks cause I was overdue. They broke my waters for me, hooked me up with an IV and gave me Pitocin to help start my labor but after 16 hours of that I was still only 1cm dilated & then they told me that there was fetal stress which is why I had to go through the emergency C-Section .. ANYWHOOO, currently I'm mostly just feeling the usual tummy hardening/tightening a.k.a Braxton-Hicks contractions and the huge amount of pelvic pressure but other than that I don't think I have been feeling anything that I could describe to as being painful and I haven't had my bloody show yet so yeah .. Just waiting ... waiting .. waiting ..
On another note, I'm pretty glad I actually got to post and fix this blog up. Originally, I was going to use it as my pregnancy journal but I've neglected it and have been doing pregnancy updates on my personal blog "Filipina Chiq" but obviously since this pregnancy is almost over I have decided to make this my "Mommy Blog" hence for this blog I've decided to call it "Filipina Mommy". I will be doing my baby blogs mostly here. It will also serve as my random blog but everything I post here will be mommy/baby related.
